A measure allowing Sunday hunting on private land in Virginia passed its first major test today, breezing through the Senate by a 29-11 vote. It is expected to face tougher scrutiny in the House, where delegates are aware that Gov. Bob McDonnell has pledged to sign any legislation allowing hunting on private property.
