School supt. 'accidentally' fires muzzleloader in class

Dwain Haggard, re-enactor, black powder enthusiast and a Montana district school superintendent was showing a Reed Point High School American history class one of his replica Civil War-era muzzleloaders when the gun fired and lodged a roundball in the classroom wall. Haggard said he usually finishes demonstrations by firing a cap, but this time, “when I dropped the hammer on it, to all of our surprise, it went off.” No one was injured. The Billings Gazette.
