Montana sheriff candidate can't possess firearms

If elected, one candidate for Sheriff of Musselshell County, Montana will have to serve the position unarmed. That's because John White, 70, was convicted of bank robbery in Michigan in 1966, served three years in federal prison and, as a felon, is prohibited from possessing firearms. White says he can be an effective sheriff, even without a gun. The Billings Gazette.
