While hunting in the Cohutta Mountains in North Georgia around 1980, a friend of mine shot a doe on the last day of the hunt which was either sex that day. When he went to where the deer was laying he could hear some noise just off the crest of the hill, he eased up to see what the noise was and there was another deer on the ground, it was shot thru the neck. He never knew the other deer was there when he shot the first one. Wonder how often this does occur?
