New animal protection laws implemented in Switzerland Sept. 1 outlaw catch and release fishing and sending live goldfish down toilets to a watery grave. Under the new legislation, anglers must kill fish when caught and aquarium fish must be stunned and killed before flushing. Angling with live bait is also a no-no.
