Forget about the mountain lion shot by authorities last month in north Chicago. Talk about a well-traveled cougar: the big cat photo from Arizona is now turning up in e-mail in-boxes claiming to be from South Carolina! Charles Ruth, SC deer/turkey project supervisor with Region 3 said his office began receiving the e-mails yesterday morning. Yes, the photo is genuine, according to Snopes.com. The Web site reports the actual cougar was hit by a Ford F350 in northern Arizona. Reported in The Greenwood Index-Journal.
