Mountain lion traveled 230 miles from Mont. to Neb.

511302b3561c0.preview-620A male mountain lion collared for a study in Montana’s C.M. Russell National Wildlife Refuge in February 2011 was shot in December by a hunter about 230 air miles away in North Dakota. The cat's travels were a walk in the park compared to the trek of mountain lion killed by a car in Connecticut in 2011. It originated in the South Dakota Black Hills, reflecting a dispersal of some 1,500 miles. Billings Gazette.
