Mo. bill would bar jail debtors from hunting, fishing licenses

Mo_sa_logo_290A bill working its way through the Missouri Senate would bar persons from obtaining hunting and fishing licenses and CCW permits if they have debts with a county jail. State law requires people confined in county jails for state crimes to reimburse counties for the cost of their incarceration. The Missouri Sheriffs’ Association estimates unpaid jail boarding fees statewide total about $3 million. AP.
