Dog owners in England will be required to microchip their pets under a new federal law to go into effect in 2016. Dog owners who fail to comply with the new law could face fines of up to $783. "Microchipping is a simple solution that gives peace of mind to owners. It makes it easier to get their pet back if it strays and easier to trace if it's stolen,” said U.K. Environment Secretary Owen Paterson. AP.
