Bee-bees? Shrapnel? Cubbie skipper peppered with birdshot

ImagesDale Sveum, manager of the Chicago Cubs, revealed this week that he was peppered with birdshot while hunting quail in Arizona with Hall of Famer Robin Yount. "I got drilled with pellets in the back and then one stuck in the ear," he said. To further illustrate how the media doesn't comprehend shooting and hunting terminology, ESPN referred to the birdshot as "shrapnel," while the Chicago Tribune misspelled BBs as "bee-bees."
