Steak-out: LA Council passes 'Meatless Mondays' resolution

Images-1In a 12-0 vote, the Los Angeles City Council on Friday adopted a proposal encouraging abstinence from eating meat. The lengthy resolution lists the reasons for the move as fighting global warming and reducing greenhouse gases and "to explore vegetarian eating to help protect their health, the environment, and animals."
