Nine Illinois counties voting on concealed-carry issue

Illinois_regions_400Voters in nine predominantly rural Illinois counties will be considering non-binding measures at the polls today about concealed carry of firearms for personal protection in the only state where it remains illegal. Advocates hope the largely symbolic vote will send a message to lawmakers and build support for passage of CCW legislation. AP.
