Montana hunting writer has close encounter with wolf
When Don Burgess, former hunting editor for the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation's Bugle magazine was awakened by the yelps of his 65-pound boxer in his Florence, Mont. backyard one recent night, upon investigation he found his dog held in the mouth of a light-colored wolf. His dog, described by Burgess as "buff," survived its ordeal, suffering only two puncture wounds. "He definitely more than met his match that night," Burgess said. Ravali Republic.
