Bass Pro Shops to open its first store in Alaska

ThFollowing the July 26 announcement from mega-outdoors retailer Cabela's that it will build a store in Anchorage, Bass Pro Shops this week announced plans to open its first store in Alaska's largest city in 2013. "We plan to have it open by this spring," Bass Pro Shops spokesman Larry Whiteley said from the company's headquarters in Springfield, Mo on Tuesday. "Just in time for fishing season." Anchorage Daily News.
