NatGeo Channel caves to animal activists

Hc-blog-melSuccumbing to pressure from animal rights activists, National Geographic Channel has announced it is removing Melissa Bachman as a planned participant in its upcoming "Ultimate Survivor Alaska" TV series because she is an outspoken and experienced big game hunter. In less than 24 hours after an online peition was launched on the website change.org, the network announced: "Hunting is not the focus of the show, and we regret the misinformation that has clouded what we hope will be an exciting adventure series set in the incredible Alaskan landscape." Yahoo!News.
