It wasn't the first time Shirley and Tom Schenk of Ruidoso, NM had to rescue black bear cubs stuck inside a garbage dumpster near their home. In fact, they keep a ladder handy just for that purpose. Tom backed his truck up to the dumpster and Shirley lowered the ladder into the dumpster so the cubs could climb out. "I would have never done that on foot,” Shirley said. NY Daily News.

I'm thinking I would have been driving the truck and old Tom would have been in the back with the ladder and Mama Bear.
