East Haddam, CT animal control officer Michael Olzacki says he saw a mountain lion while responding to a residential call this week, identifying it by its size, color and "whippy black-tipped tail." A Department of Energy and Environmental Protection conservation officer reported the animal's footprints offered inconclusive evidence. A lion struck and killed by a vehicle in Milford, CT earlier this year was determined to have originated in S. Dakota. Greenwich Patch.
