Montana FWP delays action on shed-hunting rules

The Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks Commission delayed action on shed antler gathering restrictions at the state's wildlife management areas Wednesday, in order to further study the issue. It’s not unusual for several hundred shed hunters to gather at the gate leaded into the Sun River WMA, waiting for high noon on May 15 when people on foot, on horseback and in vehicles race in to find shed antlers.
