Opening day PA bear harvest nears record

Tip_sm  Opening day of Pennsylvania's 3-day black bear hunting season marked the second-highest first day on record, with a preliminary total of 1,897. The top ten bears processed Monday had estimated live weights exceeding 550 pounds, with the largest weighing 645 pounds. PA Game Commission.
