700-pound bear raising hell near Lake Tahoe, Nev.

The "big, bad" black bear that has been evading traps placed by the Nevada Division of Wildlife has reportedly smashed into 40 or 50 garages since earlier this summer, causing an estimated $70,000 in damages to homes in and around Incline Village. The 700-pound bruin has also survived a couple shots from a .44 mag. In the Reno Gazette-Journal.
