Mirroring a national trend, from November 2008 to May 2009 gun dealers in Sacramento County, Calif. sold nearly 5,000 more firearms than in the same period last year, an increase of 40 percent. The increase was the highest shown by any other populous county in the state for the same time period. The Sacramento Bee.
