Bear in the kitchen: Va. man survives late-night encounter

Bob Dennis has seen black bears before, but he never expected to find one in his kitchen. The Flint Hill, Va. farmer was awakened in the middle of the night last week after a bruin entered his house through a window they leave open for their cats. Dennis received cuts and abrasions—and shredded pajamas—in the encounter. "He was trying to get out. He wanted to go right back out that window and I was in his way," Dennis said.
