Austin American-Statesman outdoors writer Mike Leggett interviews veteran gun writer John Wootters, who is mostly retired these days at 81. "I love deer," said Wootters. "I never loved their scores. I'm not a record-book hunter. I'm not sure I even approve of record books. I think they've resulted in a lot of abuse of the resource."
Mr. Wootters,
My favorite reloading book is The Complete Book of Practical Handloading. It's the only first edition book that I have. I bought it when I was 18 years old to learn how to cast bullets for a revolver. I believe your book made it possible for me to become a decent pistol shot and teach my son the same. If you are ever in the Maryland area, I would love for you to sign my book. It is worn and dogeared, but I love it.
Yours truly,
Harry Bryant
