Tom Tidwell, current head of the Northern Region of the U.S. Forest Service, has been selected to head that national agency. A 32-year USFS veteran, Tidwell's selection made him the third consecutive agency chief to come from the regional headquarters. He replaces Gail Kimbell, who also headed the Northern Region, as did Dale Bosworth, who preceded her. Great Falls Tribune.
