The Pennsylvania Game Commission has announced that hunters and trappers harvested 489 bobcats during the 2008-09 season, up from 356 in 2007-08 and 258 in 2006-07. It marked a success rate of 40 percent for the 1,443 permittees. For the upcoming season, 1,780 permits will be issued. Game Commission press release.
