James Cap, 46, a quadriplegic from Manville, NJ, has filed suit against the town and its police chief for denying him the right to purchase a firearm for hunting. Cap, who says with assistance from a friend he can aim with a mechanical device and fire by blowing into a tube, believes the denial amounts to discrimination. Reported in the Star-Ledger.
Hmm...maybe he should prove that he can use the weapon safely.

no doesn't matter if he is disabled it is still his right. these rights are not given to us by the government, they are inherent. to preemptively deny someone a right is wrong, and is in fact discrimination. Now if he were to screw up and hurt someone or cause damage, then he would be responsible for the consequences just like everyone else.
