Art or advertising? Herb Quintero, owner of the Complete Angler tackle shop in Clearwater, Fla. has been told that he must paint over his shop's outdoor mural of a swordfish, redfish, grouper and a snook because it violates the city's sign ordinance. "The mural is depicting what he's selling. It's signage. You have to go through the permitting process, which he has not done and refuses to do," says a city spokesperson. The St. Petersburg Times reports that the ACLU has taken the case and filed a lawsuit against the City of Clearwater on behalf of the Complete Angler. They report there is now a website devoted to the issue at www.keepthefish.com
