Organizers of Fishapalooza, the Twin Cities metro area's largest ice fishing tournament, have announced the 2009 event has been cancelled; not because of thin ice, but due to a thinning number of sponsors in a business community struggling during a tough economy. In 2008, nearly 4,000 anglers competed for $140,000 in prizes. The Forest Lake Press.
