Feds announce sweeping wolf delisting plans

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service announced today its intent to remove most of the continental U.S. wolf populations from protection under the Endangered Species Act, including those in Montana, Idaho, Utah and the Great Lakes states of Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin. The change will appear in the Federal Register next week and will be official 30 days after publication.
