A Fairbanks, Alaska man who performed mouth-to-muzzle CPR on his German wirehaired pointer after the dog was strangled in a snare says the incident led to the discovery of his potentially fatal brain malady. Doctors told Berry Whitehill that the stress of resuscitating his hunting dog caused him to suffer multiple mini-strokes, leading them to diagnose his serious condition, which is now being successfully treated.
