The National Park Service is being urged by the NJ Audubon Society and towns surrounding the Morristown National Historical Park to institute a deer hunt on a section of the 2,500-acre park. Jockey Hollow has become overrun with deer since other adjacent public lands, including the Audubon Society's Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary, hold periodic deer hunts to reduce the herd.
