The Colorado Division of Wildlife says a man shot and killed a mountain lion near New Castle Tuesday night after it threatened him and his wife while they were walking. A DOW spokesman said the cougar came out of the brush and was in a “crouch position” when the man shot it at a distance of about 6 feet. In The Glenwood Springs Post Independent.
