The search for an alleged African lion with "a red mane and a big tail" on the plains east of Colorado Springs was called off yesterday afternoon when no evidence of the animal was found to corroborate earlier reports. Earlier in the day, photos taken by two residents and tracks found by DOW officers apparently confirmed the animal was an African lion and not a cougar. In The Colorado Springs Gazette.
And people wonder why exotic animal regulation needs to be enforced. Good golly..pray no human is harmed.
