A man hiking alone in Palo Alto's Foothills Park Saturday afternoon was knocked down from behind by a mountain lion and tumbled down a 15-foot slope before striking a tree. The man was uninjured and the lion scampered away from the scene, according to authorities. In the San Jose Mercury News.
