The Minnesota Department of Agriculture confirmed yesterday that the state's venison donation program will continue this fall, albeit with added precautions to address health concerns over lead bullet fragments in the meat. In April, the agency ordered food shelves to destroy 12,000 pounds of venison after tests showed small lead particles in some packages of ground venison. Chris Niskanen in the St. Paul Pioneer-Press.
