Here at The Outdoor Pressroom, we believe it's the first time we've read about an organized jug-fishing tournament. The Vicksburg Post reports that the first of four local tournaments was held on the Mississippi River and Yazoo Diversion Canal, with the top team netting 15 catfish weighing 60 pounds. One member of the winning team offered his secret to success. "A lot of patience and a little beer," said Greg Vickers.
