Spokespersons for three of the country's largest venison programs question the results of a N. Dakota report that claimed a high incidence of lead contained in that state's hunter-donated meat. "People have been eating venison for centuries from deer that were killed with lead bullets and we haven't been aware of any problems with that," said Hunters for the Hungry director Laura Newell-Furniss. The Associated Press.
