Negligent hunters, hikers or others who are the focus of search-and-rescue operations would be liable for the cost of the operation under the provisions of a bill passed by the New Hampshire House today. Under the bill, anyone determined to be negligent who refused to pay rescue costs could face revocation of hunting, fishing and drivers licenses. In Foster's Daily Democrat.
